Hillary is continuously expanding her knowledge in the beauty industry. She frequents classes learning new skills in cutting, razor cutting, color, and hair extensions nationwide. In addition, Hillary is consistently expanding her color and extension knowledge assuring that she offers the largest selection, newest trends and best implementations with show-stopping results! She listens, looks and discovers exactly what you are looking for and we ensure you that she will exceed all expectations. No matter how edgy or traditional you may be Hillary is an incredibly versatile stylist pleasing all types of clients. Hillary is the type of stylist that satisfaction is just the tip of the iceberg on how excited with the transformation you will be.

Hillary Small has lived in Asheville NC for over a decade, and is happy to call it home. She is in love with the mountains.  One of her favorite things to do is hike with Annabelle, her Treeing Walker Coonhound puppy.  Hillary also loves the beautiful city and Asheville's strong community. Hillary is so grateful she is right in downtown and able to use her art to contribute to the local business economy. She feels that independent local businesses are what makes Asheville so special

More about Lavender and Lace Hair Salon

The owners, Hillary Small and Chelsea Goode have worked together for years at local salons. In Fall of 2017 they decided to create something great together and take the next step one would take in the career of hair styling. They went in together to build Lavender and Lace hair salon, a salon of their own, a place they could curate to exactly what they want someone to experience when they visit a salon. Hillary and Chelsea both being very quality-oriented hair stylists wanted to have a salon that consistently delivers that exact quality to every client, every time. Their dreams of having superior customer service, appeasing ambiance, and able to offer their clients the ideal overall salon experience has come to life with this opportunity, and they were not going to turn it down!

Together they have over 20 years of combined experience and have accomplished a huge step and are very proud of this accomplishment. The salon is fabulous and clients are loving the new space.  As Asheville grows, this salon is such a wonderful addition. It brings eclectic energy, a modern feel and exceptional talent to the heart of the city.  This space is designed to provide you the most relaxing and pleasant salon experience, you truly will enjoy. 

The Salon is located in downtown Asheville North Carolina, 124 College St, 2nd Floor, Suite 18. Across from Pack Square Park in a renovated historic brick building that has a nostalgic urban vibe, while the salon is decorated chic and modern giving it great contrast. Overall, it has the most delightful cozy feel.

From the chairs, color line, and the products, you will find everything is well thought out to offer the best care, experience and results.

The location is a historic building right in downtown Asheville across from the court house and Packs Park off of College St. This sector of town really showcases Asheville's beautiful architecture and city to mountain skylines.  Right out the doors is Packs Park, a great place to walk, sit and relax.  Towards the top of the park at Biltmore Ave. is one the hottest spots to people watch and see some of Asheville's finest one of a kind buskers! Guaranteed to see a street performance or hear some live music.

Conveniently across the street is French Broad Chocolate Lounge, waiting for you to enjoy some hot coffee and sweet treats. Around the corner is Capella on 9, which is AC Hotels breath taking roof top bar and restaurant.   The Korean House restaurant next door has a delicious lunch buffet with such a tasty variety. I also like to bring my clients attention that hidden in the alley is Escape Out, one of those cooperative puzzle solving rooms that is fun and something new to do with friends and family.
